Testimonials

It's one thing to do an interview with someone and then write about it. That's a great thing to share. But to me it is extra special to receive a gift of having the opportunity to have a conversation with wonderful people - and then being able to share that gift with others. Then after all is shared there's the hope that the listeners get a special blessing from the point of view they take from the conversation.

It's not enough to have a life changing experience and then heal and move forward. Those that have endured and healed have the obligation to share what they have learned from their experience. The special hope is that some of the tears shed in the past can help prevent suffering the future. We have nothing unless we learn to take the lessons learned and use them to make a better future.

Hosting Missing Pieces has brought so much to my heart and soul. Being able to do this has been a labor of love. It's has been one of life's greatest blessing for me.

-Todd
(Host of Missing Pieces)

From Our Listeners and Guests:

Todd-
I just wanted to say I think it's wonderful that you do everything you do to help families solve their cold cases.  Although I am only one person from Pennsylvania and I have no personal stake in any of the cases,  I still love to listen to your show "Missing Pieces" and I often log on to the Doe Network, always hoping that maybe I can help at least one family solve their case. (How great that would make me feel!). Anyway, keep up the great work!

We wanted to drop a quick note of thanks for the time you gave Jennifer and us on your missing pieces show. Awareness is key and we thank you for the help in keeping her name face and story alive!!!! We have already heard from people who have listened to your wecast and visited Jennifer's website and signed her guestbook, so your awareness campaign through this media for the Missing works!!!! I am a member of the websleuths.com forum for Anna Waters, and I also run one of her MySpace pages.  I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your interest in Anna's case. Finally after 34 years it is getting some recognition, and we are that much closer to finding the answers.  You have a wonderful program, and I will continue to tune in. (Episode 20)

Thank you so much Todd for having Jim as a guest on last night's show.  We have only recently (over the past few weeks or so) become involved in helping Jim & his family search for Patricia.  I will do my best to help Jim & his family for as long as it takes to find out what happened to her.  We hope to help Jim in some way find the answers to the questions he so desperately seeks answers to.

"I wanted to tell you thank-you for making this show. It's so good to know that real friendships, bonds and helpful resources are formed from the Internet. Surely somewhere this woman (about guest Shari Lillie Greer) and the many others can find the final "missing piece" of the puzzle to their case. I will never understand why some people are chosen to have to go through something like that."
~Jill~

~

"Tonight was the first night I tuned into Missing Pieces and I listened to Laura talk about her brother. Everything she said was so true. We have been going through a similar situation for forty years. I hope to be able to tune in again to your show.  Thank you for providing that service. The public needs to be aware of these cases and understand how the family feels."
~Michelle~

Todd,  "A couple of weeks ago, you referred Mary Jane Bish to me in her research of the unidentified remains of a Civil War soldier found near Leadville CO. Mary Jane and I co-authored a letter to the editor that was published in print and online on 4/17/08 and is currently being run in the Leadville Herald Democrat, the only (and a weekly) newspaper in the mountain town. I'm glad you put Mary Jane in contact with me."

"I learned of Todd Matthews before I learned of Missing Pieces. He became a hero to me after I read the "Tent Girl" story and the story of Vickie Bertram.  I first heard of Missing Pieces when John Allore sent me an audio recording of Episode 28, Theresa's story, just last year.  It was a big surprise to me when I learned it is the same Todd Matthews who is the host of this show. Later I learned about the Doe Network.  I consider it a great honor to have been included as a guest on his show.  It is my opinion that Todd Matthews is the greatest living amateur detective in the world today."
~Bill W.~

~

"I am so glad Missing Pieces was website of the month. I learned about Todd Matthews from the people on my brothers website. I had my interview with Todd in December and he is really good. He made me feel comfortable talking about my brothers case, where as in some cases I felt scared and uncomfortable. He is a great dectective as  "Billy W" states. Keep up the good work Todd.
Chris I am glad you have this forum where I can come and
voice my opinion and ask questions."
